AirChamonix is led by Richard Taylor, a full-time paragliding instructor and professional tandem pilot who has been flying tandem passengers since 2014. Paragliding is more than a job for Richard—it is his passion, and he loves sharing the freedom of flight and the incredible mountain scenery of Chamonix with people from all over the world.

Experienced pilots and a personal approach

 

Your safety and enjoyment are our priorities. We work with a carefully selected team of professional tandem pilots who combine technical experience with a friendly, relaxed approach.

 

Before every flight, your pilot will explain what to expect and help you prepare for take-off. Once airborne, you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the panoramic views of Mont Blanc, the Chamonix Valley, glaciers and the surrounding Alpine peaks.

 

No previous paragliding experience is required for our tandem flights. You do not need to know how to fly a paraglider—the pilot takes care of the flying while you enjoy the experience.

 

We select the flight time and flying site according to the weather, aerology and your individual circumstances. Because paragliding is weather-dependent, we will always put safe flying conditions ahead of simply getting into the air.

AirChamonix also provides paragliding coaching and SIV training for pilots who want to improve their flying skills and confidence.

 

Our coaching can cover areas such as ground handling, take-off technique, thermal flying, cross-country flying, high-mountain flying, fly-to-ski and paragliding equipment. Our SIV courses take place at Lake Garda, Italy, where the terrain and altitude difference provide an excellent environment for developing piloting skills.
